Asset Management and Engineering

Michael Armstrong is a Project Engineer for MEG. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Widener University in 2006.

Lisa Cona is an Asset Manager for MEG. She has over twelve years diversified work experience in the electric power industry. Prior to joining MEG, Ms. Cona was responsible for the management of three hydroelectric and cogeneration projects for United American Energy Corp. In addition, Ms. Cona has held numerous engineering and supervisory positions at Consolidated Edison of New York. She was a former graduate of Con Edison’s Assistant Engineer Program. She received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College in 1989 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1999.

Mark Driscoll is Manager of Environmental Permitting and Compliance at MEG. He has over 25 years experience in the operation, maintenance, and environmental compliance of industrial equipment. For the past ten years Mr. Driscoll has managed environmental permitting and compliance at multiple generation and cogeneration facilities throughout the Northeast. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University in 1982.

Timothy Fagan is Director of Asset Management for MEG. He has over twenty years experience in the electric power industry. Prior to joining MEG in 2005, Mr. Fagan was Manager of Business Development For American Ref-Fuel Company, where he was responsible for all activities related to project development and M&A opportunities in the waste industry, including waste-to-energy facilities, landfills and transfer stations. Mr. Fagan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College in 1989 and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Manhattan College in 1995.

Kevin Foley is Manager of Operations and Maintenance for MEG. He has over twenty five years experience in the power industry. Prior to joining MEG in 2009, Mr. Foley was Operations Manager for United American Energy Corp. where he was responsible for safety and O&M of gas turbine, coal and hydro-electric facilities. Mr. Foley received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from University of Massachusetts - Lowell in 2004 and a Massachusetts 1st Class Steam Engineer License in 1988.

Justin Hughes is a Project Engineer for MEG. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Widener University in 2006 and was brought on to the MEG team shortly after. During his five years with MEG Mr.Hughes has been involved in the day to day operational, performance, bidding and maintenance activities at all of the facilities. Mr.Hughes recieved his PJM Operator Certification License in 2011 and is working toward his Professional Engineer's license.

Richard Vaccaro, QEP is the Environmental Compliance Specialist at MEG. He has over 30 years experience in the environmental area working for companies in the chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, oil refining, power generation and consulting industries including Exxon, American Cyanamid, GE Energy and Parsons Engineering. Mr. Vaccaro received both his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1977 and his Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering in 1979 from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. A former Chairman of the Mid Atlantic States Section of the Air & Waste Management Association, Mr. Vaccaro has worked as an environmental project engineer, program manager and director, office operations manager, manager of marketing, sales and business development and consulting business owner during his career.

Finance and Administration

Katharine Vaccarella is a Corporate Administrator for MEG. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Marist College in 2005.

David Cox is a Staff Accountant for MEG. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Kutztown University in 2004.

Lenise Mitchell is the Manager of Human Resources for MEG. She has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources management. Prior to joining MEG in 2009, Lenise was Director of Human Resources at Palisades Safety and Insurance Company (formerly the Proformance Insurance Company). She held human resource management positions with ITC, Chubb& Son, Broadbeam Corporation and Dole Foods. Ms. Mitchell holds a BS in Business Administration from The College of St. Elizabeth as well as her senior human resources certification as an SPHR.
