Managing Principals

David Brauer is responsible for financial and administrative activities at MEG. He has over twenty years experience in the electric power industry. Prior to co-founding MEG in 2002, Mr. Brauer was a senior executive at GPU, Inc. where he was responsible for several major transactions, including a $1.8 billion divestiture and $4 billion in acquisitions. Mr. Brauer held several senior positions at GPU, including Vice President of Finance at GPU International and President of GPU Telecom. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He received a Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude in Industrial Engineering from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 1980, and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering/Operations Research from Rutgers University in 1984.

Dennis Clarke is responsible for commercial matters and transactions at MEG. He has over twenty years experience in the electric power industry. Prior to co-founding MEG in 2002, Mr. Clarke was Director of Business Development at Delta Power Company, where he led a number of acquisition, sale, financing and restructuring transactions. Prior to joining Delta Power, Mr. Clarke worked in business development at GPU International, and as an engineer at Burns and Roe Company. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1984.

David Hughes is responsible for operations, engineering and asset management at MEG. He has over twenty years experience in the electric power industry. Prior to joining MEG in 2003, Mr. Hughes was Vice President of Business Development and Operations for Conectiv Operating Services Company. Under Mr. Hughes' direction, COSC grew to more than 300 employees and $80 million in annual revenues. Earlier in his career Mr. Hughes worked as a project manager for Atlantic Generation, Inc., a maintenance superintendant at a large coal-fired generating facility, and a field engineer for General Electric Co. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware in 1979, and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Delaware.

Asset Management and Engineering

Michael Armstrong is a Project Engineer for MEG. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Widener University in 2006.

Lisa Cona is an Asset Manager for MEG. She has over twelve years diversified work experience in the electric power industry. Prior to joining MEG, Ms. Cona was responsible for the management of three hydroelectric and cogeneration projects for United American Energy Corp. In addition, Ms. Cona has held numerous engineering and supervisory positions at Consolidated Edison of New York. She was a former graduate of Con Edison’s Assistant Engineer Program. She received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College in 1989 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1999.

Mark Driscoll is Manager of Environmental Permitting and Compliance at MEG. He has over 25 years experience in the operation, maintenance, and environmental compliance of industrial equipment. For the past ten years Mr. Driscoll has managed environmental permitting and compliance at multiple generation and cogeneration facilities throughout the Northeast. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University in 1982.

Timothy Fagan is Director of Asset Management for MEG. He has over twenty years experience in the electric power industry. Prior to joining MEG in 2005, Mr. Fagan was Manager of Business Development For American Ref-Fuel Company, where he was responsible for all activities related to project development and M&A opportunities in the waste industry, including waste-to-energy facilities, landfills and transfer stations. Mr. Fagan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College in 1989 and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Manhattan College in 1995.

Kevin Foley is Manager of Operations and Maintenance for MEG. He has over twenty five years experience in the power industry. Prior to joining MEG in 2009, Mr. Foley was Operations Manager for United American Energy Corp. where he was responsible for safety and O&M of gas turbine, coal and hydro-electric facilities. Mr. Foley received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from University of Massachusetts - Lowell in 2004 and a Massachusetts 1st Class Steam Engineer License in 1988.

Justin Hughes is a Project Engineer for MEG. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Widener University in 2006.

Walter Relling is Operations Manager for MEG. He has over twenty five years experience in the power industry. Prior to joining MEG in 2009, Mr. Relling was Asset Manager for RPL Holdings, Inc. and was responsible for all Market and Regulatory Compliance related activities for the Massena and Elmwood Park Power Plants. Mr. Relling began his career in power generation in the United States Navy as a gas turbine systems technician in 1981. He has held positions with General Electric, Stewart and Stevenson, Sithe Energies, Alliance Energy and RPL Holdings, Inc. ranging from plant operator, to plant manager to asset manager. Mr. Relling has been involved in initial startup activities and O&M at both aero-derivative based and industrial frame unit based combined cycle power plants.

Finance and Administration

Katharine Vaccarella is a Corporate Administrator for MEG. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Marist College in 2005.

David Cox is a Staff Accountant for MEG. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Kutztown University in 2004.

Kent Worrall is MEG's Corporate Controller. He has over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, with over 10 years experience as a corporate controller. His industry experience is varied, having worked for manufacturing, service, and utility companies. Mr. Worrall graduated from Trenton State College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. He is also a CPA, licensed in New Jersey.
