Morris Energy Submits Proposals for Renewable Energy Projects

February 2010 - Morris Energy, on behalf of their Dartmouth and Lowell Facilities, submitted proposals to National Grid and NSTAR in response to the MA DOER Request for Proposals for Long-Term Contracts for Renewable Energy Projects. Both Facilities plan on "Repowering" to burn an eligible bio fuel that will meet the requirements of the MA Renewable Portfolio Standards as Class 1 Generation Units.


Morris Energy Acquires Massena Generating Facility

October 2009 - Morris Energy Group, LLC (MEG) closed on the acquisition of an 85 megawatt gas- and oil-fired combined cycle generating facility located in Massena, New York. MEG acquired the facility from RPL Holdings, Inc. Morris Energy Operations Company, LLC, an affiliate of MEG, will be providing operations and maintenance services for the facility.


Dartmouth Expansion Goes Commercial

September 23, 2009 - Morris Energy Group, LLC has declared commercial operation of their 25 MW Dartmouth Expansion Project in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The project utilizes General Electric aeroderivative technology and state of the art emissions controls.


Morris Energy Acquires Elmwood Park Generating Facility

September 2009 - Morris Energy Group, LLC (MEG) closed on the acquisition of a 80 megawatt gas and oil-fired combined cycle generating facility located in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. The plant, a former Qualifying Facility is located in Northern New Jersey within a constrained region of PJM. MEG acquired the facility from RPL Holdings, Inc. (RPL).
Morris Energy Operations Company, LLC (MEOPCO), an affiliate of MEG will be providing operations and maintenance services for the Elmwood Park facility.


MEG OpCo Takes Over Operation of Lowell Cogen

September 2009 - Morris Energy Group, LLC's (MEG) plant operations subsidiary, Morris Energy Operations Company (MEG OpCo), is now providing plant operations and maintenance services to MEG's 29 MW Lowell Cogen generating facility in Lowell, Massachusetts. This is the first of MEG's generating facilities that MEG OpCo will operate. MEG's six other facilities are currently operated by third-party contractors.
